Hiring should do more than fill seats. It should reflect the world you want to help build.
At middle, we believe recruitment has a ripple effect. Every hire affects not just a team or business, but the wider world. We are a small business with a clear purpose. We want to work with companies who care about how they grow, and what their growth supports.
This is what we are doing now, and where we are heading.
One CV sent equals one tree planted
For every candidate we submit, we fund the planting of a tree through a certified reforestation partner. It is a small step, but it means every part of the hiring process contributes something back.
Offsetting interview travel
When candidates travel for interviews or final-stage meetings, we calculate the estimated emissions and offset them. Most recruitment processes do not consider this. We choose to.
Pro bono support
We are developing a model to offer free or discounted hiring support to charities. This is still taking shape, but we believe access to ethical hiring should be accessible for all.
What comes next
We are exploring B Corp certification and will continue to build partnerships that help remove bias and improve access to inclusive hiring. Our goal is to build a business that puts mission, people, and purpose at the centre of every decision.
