About the Role

Onsite IT Support Engineer (Retail)
Up to £37,000 (including on-call & out-of-hours support)
Regent Street / Soho (W1), London – 5 days onsite | 9am–6pm

middle is partnered exclusively with a fast-growing MSP to recruit an Onsite IT Support Engineer to support a premium retail environment for one of their flagship clients.

This is a rare onsite opportunity sitting at the heart of one of London's most iconic retail locations.

The Role

You will be based full-time onsite (Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm), acting as the primary IT point of contact for retail store staff and supporting day-to-day operations across the Regent Street and Soho sites.

1st line calls are handled by the MSP's central service desk, with issues escalated to you for hands-on support, end-user troubleshooting, and store-critical incidents. Given the retail environment, POS support is a core part of the role — the client runs Cegid POS alongside ticketing via ServiceNow.

The role also includes an out-of-hours support element covering evenings and weekends (excluding holidays) — though in practice this is very rarely needed (just 5 calls across the whole of 2025).

Technical Environment

  • Windows desktop support
  • Microsoft 365 (desktop & end-user support)
  • Active Directory user administration
  • POS support — Cegid (retail point of sale)
  • ITSM ticketing via ServiceNow
  • MDM — Workspace ONE / AirWatch
  • Hardware troubleshooting and break/fix
  • Escalation handling from central service desk

Ideal Background

  • Experience in onsite IT support, ideally within a retail or MSP environment
  • POS support experience, particularly Cegid or similar retail POS platforms
  • Confident with Windows desktop and end-user troubleshooting
  • Familiar with Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Experience with any MDM platform — ideally Workspace ONE / AirWatch
  • Comfortable being the sole onsite IT presence in a busy, customer-facing environment

If you're looking for a stable, hands-on onsite role in a premium retail setting — with a genuinely manageable out-of-hours commitment — this is a great opportunity to step into a long-term, trusted position in one of London's most vibrant locations.
