middle has partnered exclusively with one of the UK’s most exciting early-stage start-ups. This is a greenfield opportunity to shape, build, and scale brand-new applications that help businesses make smarter financial decisions.

We placed a Senior FE Engineer and x2 Senior BE Engineers into this team over a year ago, and both are thriving. You’ll be joining them directly in build-mode – solving real problems, shaping product direction, and bringing fresh ideas to life.

This role is perfect for someone confident, collaborative, and commercially minded. You’ll be part of a close-knit team where your input has real impact – weighing up speed vs reward, delivering high-quality solutions, and helping to push the business forward.

Tech Stack:

• 5+ years of strong experience with React, Next.js
• Design systems (storybook, Figma) and component libraries (Material UI)
• Keen eye for detail and user experience, including animations
• Can articulate WCAG accessibility requirements
• Implement effective GraphQL front-end implementations
• Managing a git repository effectively using git flow

This role will suit you if you are:

• A perfectionist developer who cares deeply about code quality
• Commercially aware and able to influence tech decisions with practical ideas
• A genuine team player who enjoys working closely with stakeholders
• Experienced in start-up or scale-up environments (bonus)
• Familiar with Financial Services (useful, but not essential)

We’re also open to Full-Stack Engineers with experience in:

• FE: React, Next.js, Material UI
• BE: Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript
• GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps
